People frequently become confused when a person, job or object that is an integral part of themselves is taken away from them. They believe they have lost themselves. BEA 0B0-106 exam You may have lost something or someone you had a relationship with and felt this way. The truth is you did not lose who you are unless you lose sight of who you are.
What you do is not who you are
I met a woman who was a midwife. Her entire identity revolved around taking women through the journey of pregnancy and then, at the ultimate moment, catching the new life in her hands as the baby emerged from the mother. She talked about the sacredness of this event. How she couldn't imagine herself doing anything else. Then she lost most of her hand in a tragic accident. She was still living, but she could no longer participate in the sacredness of the final birth experience of catching the baby. She had to redefine herself.
Many people define themselves by what they do. Their profession is more than a profession for them. It is, in their mind, a way of life. They can't imagine life being without music, or art, or nursing. They believe they are that which they do. The truth is that what you do may BEA 0B0-111 exam have been a driving force in your life. It was how you identified yourself.
When this driving force is gone you are still present. I've seen this in my dad. His life revolved around medicine. My grandmother said he wanted to be a doctor since he was three. Something in life side tracked him and he didn't begin practicing medicine until I, his eldest, was 16. He is now retired. Before he retired he was concerned that he wouldn't know what to do with his life. He has had to redefine himself in retirement just as the midwife had to redefine herself in her early 40s.
The danger of not knowing who you truly are
When your personal identity is contained within what you do, then you have limited yourself within a small container, no matter how big you believe that container is. There are always other things you can do. True, you may not have the same passion for them, but you can still do these other things. There are aspects of yourself which make you good at who you are.
Try this. Make a list of every 2B0-202 quality within yourself that makes you good at what you do. These are not things you have learned, they are aptitudes or qualities you have within you. Once you have the list, look at those qualities. What you do is only the way you use the qualities which make up that which you truly are.
