Your desk and the surrounding work area is usually the place that you spend much time, and effort achieving your work-related activity. How does your area work for you? Alternatively, Eccouncil EC0-350 question does it work against you? Together we will solve your problem of a too cluttered desk.
You have probably heard the adage that a messy desk is the sign of a brilliant mind. This of course, has a kernel of truth to it. However, as in most proverbs, one statement taken out of context does not present the entire intended lesson.
Let's define a messy desk. A messy desk is a desk that is not organized. This means that you may have several projects open at the same time; the stapler is under your paperwork. You are spending time hunting for your pen, or the message that was just there a moment ago, instead of doing productive work. That is a messy desk; it is not efficient and makes it all too possible for you to place a valuable paper in the wrong stack. You may feel embarrassment when a customer or your superior walks into your office. A messy desk is a self-built and self-maintained roadblock to your success.
I can hear you thinking, yes, my desk is messy to you, but, I know where everything is and can find what I need. In fact, when my desk is clean I can find nothing!
My answer to you is that you are probably right, to a degree. A certain amount of mess on your desk and the surrounding area is often efficient and work well for you. This applies only if your desk is messy today-right now while you are working-busy multi-tasking Eccouncil 212-77 question and you are achieving your goal for today.
However,at the end of the day, do you leave your desktop clear and ready for the next day? Did you file all the papers, and files that were on your desk? When you walk into your office in the morning, do you find a tidy work area and peace?
If your answer is yes, you are doing fine and keep up the good work.
The problem with a messy desk is that the messiness often expands to an entire work area. An unkempt work area stops productivity in its tracks. It is time to whip your work area into shape. Clear the chairs of any files, magazines or anything else that would prevent a person from sitting comfortably in the chairs.
Put the items you removed from the chairs where they belong, either file them, discard them or put them in a container to move to another room. Next, declutter any horizontal surfaces. Horizontal surfaces include desk tops, mantel tops, occasional tables, window sills, and so forth. Although bookshelves are horizontal surfaces, do not empty them at this point. One surface that you must not forget to rid of stacks and piles of papers or magazines is your floor. Yep, pick up that stack of magazines, which you plan to read. Remove the stack of outdated files from that spot next to the file cabinet. Oh yes, give yourself some foot room, get those paper and other stuff out from under your desk.
Your work area looks much more inviting by now. Dust, polish and mop or vacuüm the floors, table tops, furniture, window sills, and all other surfaces that you just uncovered.
Perfection isn't the goal now. Your work area is more conducive to work, now. A sense of peace should permeate the room. Your accomplishment makes you feel victorious.
You know what else may need doing to clean up your workspace. Do it, as soon as possible.
The most important thing you can do 1Z0-895 now, is make a promise with yourself, to keep the areas you just cleaned-clean, neat, and organized. Write out the promise and sign it. Keep it where you, and only you, can see it regularly.
