Understanding the 5 Year Rule
11/12/2011 11:18
Have you ever heard of the 5-year rule? I hadn't, until just recently. The 5 year rule works like this:
1. Look at the last 5 years of your life. Are you where you thought you'd be?
2. Project what the next 5 years will look like.Apple 9L0-510 practice test Will you be where you want to be then?
Most people answer 'no' to the first question and a tentative 'yes' to the second question. Take a look again at the questions. At first glance, they appear to be benign, don't they? Understand that they are not. In fact, they are probably more of a wake up call than most of us prefer to receive.
Here's the catalyst - change. If you don't like your current situations, use the resources available to you to change it. Will it be hard? Probably. Will it suck really bad sometimes? You can count on it. Will you want to quit? Only about 100 times. What will set you apart from the people that will be in similar or worse circumstances in 5 years is your ability to stick with it.Trust that fire in your belly to keep you going. Don't stop, no matter how hard it gets. The reward will be worth it!
Most people do not understand or bother to implement the 5 year rule? Why? Well, it's a little uncomfortable to realize that you are not where you thought you would be by now. You likely already know that if you don't do something, the trend is going to continue to work against you. whether you know it or not, you have the strength to stop it and turn the trend. It will take consistent action toward a goal and a desire to succeed that you have never encountered before.
Start hanging around people that are alreadyApple 9L0-510 practice test where you want to be. You will have the benefit of learning from their mistakes and using them as a model to emulate. Eventually you will find your own rhythm and people will be emulating you. Feed your soul and mind with positive material. Look at your surroundings and get rid of the people and things that are not in line with our goals and improving yourself. Sometimes, the people who try to hold us down the most are our own family. Reduce your time with them so they can't suck you in to their negative state of mind.
As you feed your new positive mindset, you will learn to recognize the people and situations that you do not need to be in. Eventually, you will feel physically repelled from those events. Your body and mind learn to protect themselves! The best part is, it becomes a self-perpetuating cycle.250-530 Feed your mind and soul with something positive every day, just like you feed your body. Make it a habit and I guarantee you will not be the same person or in the same circumstances in 5 years!
