What Is the NLP Meta Model and What Is the Purpose of the NLP Meta Model

NLP Meta Model was the discovery of John Grinder and Richard Bandler around 1974 and it is my opinion that their revelation can be life-changing if understood and applied. Blue Coat BCCPSA question First of all it it gives us an insight into how people see the world we live in, and it also reveals how we all view the world from a unique perspective, whilst mostly believing that others see what we see. A study of the NLP Meta Model helps us to appreciate how our own prejudices, experiences and past learnings have impacted on the manner in which we respond to situations today. I realise that having an open mind to allow change can often be quite scary, as we all seem to feel safer with what we "know" to be true, but there is no doubt in my mind that their concept is worth the effort to explore and I would highly recommend putting it into practice.
Life, as we experience it, is not so much about reality as much as it is our perception of that reality. This is a fact for everyone, however, this happens to people in varying degrees and there are certain levels that govern how you see and perceive things. These things that affect you are known as mental maps and there are the three Blue Coat BCCPSP question specific maps that make up the NLP Meta model. A deeper study into this reveals that those three categories of maps have a total of thirteen sub-divisions of different patterns in total.
The first NLP Meta model map is known as Deletions. There are many examples I could give in this category but one explanation could be when a person is talking to someone in a crowded noisy room. Deletion allows you to tune out everything that is going on around you but you retain attentiveness when something important happens like if someone in the crowded and noisy room calls out to you by name.
The next map in the NLP Meta model is called Generalization. This makes you use generalizations as it relates to your own experiences and learnings. For example, if a person was robbed on a city street, then a persons view of that city street where the crime was committed would color their views of all city streets.
The last map is known as Distortions. This is perhaps the one map that creates the most problems for people because it takes something that is not real, such as a feeling about something that is not substantiated, but it causes people to act as if the imagined problem is real.
One very real example of this is considering the the possibility that a spouse is cheating on you. This usually can inspire feeling of sadness and in some cases jealousy, C_TADM53_70 even when no unfaithfulness has taken place. These feelings often are manifested in the person feeling jealous and taking out their feelings of anger and jealousy on the spouse.
